His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday consented to name the monarch's new granddaughter, YAM Pengiran Anak Raihaanah Hanaa-Ul Bolqiah binti Pengiran Anak Khairul Khalil.

A press statement from the Office of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam said, "By command of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Penggawa Laila Bentara Istiadat Diraja Dalam Istana Pengiran Haji Alauddin bin Pengiran Paduka Tuan Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar, the Grand Chamberlain is pleased to inform that His Majesty has consented to bestow the name of the newborn daughter of Her Royal Highness Pengiran Anak Puteri Hajah Majeedah Nuurul Bolkiah and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Khairul Khalil - YAM Pg Anak Raihaanah Hanaa-Ul Bolqiah binti Pengiran Anak Khairul Khalil."

His Majesty along with other members of the royal family thanked all those who were involved in the delivery, as well as to all those who have sent their congratulatory messages following the birth of His Majesty's granddaughter on January 6, 2010, corresponding to 20 Muharram 1431 at 5.30pm. - Borneo Bulletin (12th January 2010)
