33,000 greet royal family

Over 33,000 people went to the Istana Nurul Iman to greet His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hjh Saleha and other members of the royal family during the open house yesterday. The morning session saw 19,497 visitors, while another 13,854 visited the Istana in the afternoon. People from different nationalities and races thronged the Istana to greet the royal family as the open house is one of the most eagerly awaited events in Brunei.
