The 2nd Executive Committee Meeting of His Majesty's 64th birthday celebration 2010 for the Brunei-Muara District was held yesterday.

Brunei-Muara District Officer Dato Paduka Hj Md Yussof said 21 events would be held in the Brunei-Muara District during the celebration from July 15 to 31.

He said the events include religious activities and functions every Friday night to be conducted only by the religious section authority.

Meanwhile, the "Majlis Bersama Rakyat" or His Majesty's get-together ceremony with subjects for the Brunei-Muara District will be held at Taman Hj Sir Muda Omar Ali Saifuddien in the capital on a Sunday.

This year's get-together ceremony will be held and hosted by Belait, Temburong, Tutong and Brunei-Muara Districts.

The meeting, chaired by the Brunei-Muara District Officer, was attended by executive organising committee members. They included heads of government department, private sector and mukim penghulus in Brunei-Muara District.

Also present was Assistant Senior Chief of Adat Istiadat Pg Seri Wijaya Pg Hj Ahmad.

The meet touched on a report by the chairman of the events.
