Prince Mohamed at opening of 4th FEALAC meet

His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Brunei Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, attended the first day of the 4th meeting of the FEALAC Foreign Ministers. The FEALAC (Forum for East Asia-Latin America Cooperation) meeting was opened by Japan Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama, where Mongolia was admitted as a new member.

His Royal Highness delivered a statement commending the encouraging progress made in FEALAC and praised the significant achievements made by South American countries in the international arena.

At a Retreat held later yesterday afternoon, the ministers exchanged views on environmental and sustainable development, the financial and economic crises; and social inclusion. His Royal Highness, yesterday evening attended a reception hosted by Japan Foreign Minister Katsuyo Okada in honour of the visiting ministers.
