Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah as the Secretariat of Dana Pengiran Muda Mahkota Al-Muhtadee Billah Untuk Anak Yatim yesterday held a thanksgiving prayer in conjunction with the 36th birthday of His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office.

Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Haji Awg Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, in his capacity as the Chairman of Yayasan's Board of Directors, was present at the ceremony yesterday, along with the Jemaah Tadbir members, members of the Yayasan Board of Directors, members of the DANA Board of Trustees as well as specially invited guests, including some DANA contributors, Yayasan officers and staff as well as teachers from Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah School.

The ceremony began with a mass Fardhu Maghrib prayer led by Pehin Khatib Haji Emran bin Haji Kuncang, Mosque Officer at Sultan Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Mosque.

This was followed by the mass recital of surah yassin and the thanksgiving prayer for His Royal Highness' birthday and a mass Fardhu Isyak prayer.l. - Borneo Bulletin (19th February 2010)
