His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send a congratulatory message to His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Emir of the State of Kuwait, Kuwaiti Prime Minister His Highness Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, as well as the government and people of Kuwait, on the occasion of Kuwait's National Day.
In the message, His Majesty expressed his satisfaction over the warm and friendly relations between the two countries and looks forward to strengthening ties in future.
His Majesty also congratulated the Emir over Kuwait's assumption of the Chairmanship of the Gulf Co-operation Council, as well as the Kuwaiti Prime Minister over the role played by Kuwait as the current Chair of the Gulf Co-operation Council.
His Majesty wished His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and other members of the royal family continued good health and happiness.
His Majesty also wished the people of Kuwait continued progress and prosperity.
Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Brunei's Minister of Foreign Affairs & Trade, sent a similar congratulatory message to His Highness Sheikh Dr Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait, on the occasion of Kuwait's National Day.
In the message, HRH expressed his satisfaction over the close bilateral relations between the two countries. HRH looks forward to continue working together with the Kuwaiti Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs to strengthening ties.
