His Majesty grants audience to foreign envoys

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday consented to receive letters of credentials from four foreign envoys to the sultanate.

His Majesty received letters of credentials from four newly-appointed foreign envoys to the country, namely, Mr Min Yongnian, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China; Mr Flavio Saraiva De Carvalho Fonseca, the non-resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola; Mr Zeljko Bosnjak, the non-resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Croatia and Mr Carlos Frota, the non-resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Portugal.

His Majesty also received them in separate audiences.

Mr Min Yongnian, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China, 58, previously served as Director-General, Bureau for Retired Personnel of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China.

Meanwhile, the non-resident Ambassador of the Republic of Angola, Mr Flavio Saraiva De Carvalho Fonseca, 54, is also the country's Ambassador to the Republic of Singapore. He is based in Singapore.

The non-resident Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia, Mr Zeljko Bosnjak, 64, previously served as Minister Plenipotentiary and Head of Department at the Directorate of Security Analytycs and Communication. He is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Lastly, the non-resident Ambassador of Portugal, Mr Carlos Frota, 63, previously served as the Deputy Political Director for Defence and Security Affairs. He is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
