Royal messages for Laos National Day
 

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send a congratulatory message to President Choummaly Sayasone of the Lao People's Democratic Republic and Prime Minister Bouasone Bouphavanh of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, as well as the government and people of the Lao People's Democratic Republic on the occasion of the National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

In the message to President Choummaly Sayasone, His Majesty expressed his approbation for the close and freindly relations between the two countries, highlighted by the president's state visit to Brunei Darussalam last month. These growing ties have not only been present in the bilateral affairs between the two countries, but also in the regional and international arena.

His Majesty concluded the message by extending his best wishes for President Choummaly Sayasone's good health and happiness, as well as for the continued progress and prosperity of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

In the message to Bouasone Bouphavanh, Prime Minister of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, His Majesty expressed his pleasure at meeting him again at the Asean Summit in Hanoi last October. His Majesty looked forward to continue working together in strengthening the close ties between the two countries both bilaterally as well as partners in Asean for the mutual benefit of the people of the two countries.
