Royal congratulations for Iran's National Day

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send a congratulatory message to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, on the occasion of the anniversary of the National Day of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In the message, His Majesty extended his warmest congratulations and very best wishes to the President, the government and the people of the Islamic Republic of Iran on their national day.

His Majesty very much values the warm and friendly relations shared by the two countries and looked forward to many opportunities to strengthen these ties and cooperation.

His Majesty prayed to Allah the Almighty that the people of Iran be blessed with continued progress and prosperity.

Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, sent a congratulatory message to his counterpart, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr Ali Akbar Salehi.

His Royal Highness sent his warmest congratulations to him, the government and people of Iran on their national day.

His Royal Highness said it was a great pleasure to visit Tehran last year for the Asian Cooperation Dialogue. His Royal Highness thanked Iran's government and people for their kind welcome and generous hospitality, as well as extended his congratulations on a most successful meeting.
