Friendship Ambassador award for Princess Masna

Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna, the Ambassador-at-Large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, yesterday afternoon arrived in Beijing for an official visit to the People's Republic of China from June 13 - 17, 2011.

The visit of HRH is also to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Brunei Darussalam and the People's Republic of China.

According to a press release, HRH was greeted upon arrival at Beijing Capital International Airport by Min Yongnian, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Brunei Darussalam and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China.

Also present to greet HRH was Magdalene Teo Chee Siong, Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to the People's Republic of China.

Later in the evening, HRH attended a dinner hosted by Madame Gu Xiulian, President of the China-Asean Association. Prior to the dinner, Madame Gu Xiulian, on behalf of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) presented to HRH the "Friendship Ambassador" Award for HRH's contributions in promoting Brunei-China relations.

In receiving the award, HRH expressed her appreciation to Madame Gu Xiulian and the CPAFFC for their contributions in strengthening closer relations between Brunei and China. HRH expressed her hope that bilateral cooperation would continue to achieve new heights.

HRH was accompanied by Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Aziz bin Pengiran Jaya Negara Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar. - Borneo Bulletin (14th June 2011)
