Thanksgiving prayers to mark Crown Prince's birthday

The Ministry of Home Affairs yesterday held a thanksgiving ceremony to mark the 37th birthday of His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince, Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office in his capacity as the Chairman of the National Disaster Council. The ceremony was held at the Surau of the Fire and Rescue Department Headquarters.

Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Hj Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Hj Othman, Minister of Home Affairs who is also the Deputy Chairman of the National Disaster Council, Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Hj Awang Halbi bin Hj Mohd Yusof, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, permanent secretaries, deputy permanent secretaries, department heads, senior officers, officers and staff at the Ministry of Home Affairs as well as other departments including National Disaster Management Centre were present.

The ceremony began with the mass Maghrib prayers, followed by the 'Hajat' prayer and the recitation of surah yaasiin. It was followed by a tahlil to commemorate the late Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, the recital of Ratib Al-Attas and thanksgiving prayers to seek blessings for His Royal Highness the Crown Prince.
