Royal congratulatory messages to Kuwait

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send congratulatory messages to His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait, and His Highness Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah, Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait, as well as the government and people of the State of Kuwait on the occasion of Kuwait's National Day.

In the message to His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait, His Majesty expressed his appreciation over the close brotherly relations that the two countries enjoyed as well as the valuable bilateral exchanges between the two governments and peoples.

His Majesty is confident that the friendship and cooperation between the two countries will continue to be strengthened in the coming years.

In a similar message to His Highness Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah, His Majesty stated that he values the long standing and close brotherly relations shared between the two countries and looks forward to many opportunities to strengthen this relationship and cooperation in regional and international forum in the years to come.

In ending the messages, His Majesty prayed to Allah the Almighty for the continued good health and happiness to His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammed

Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah and continued progress and prosperity for the people of Kuwait.

Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs & Trade, sent a similar congratulatory message to His Highness Sheikh Dr Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait, on the occasion of Kuwait's National Day.

His Royal Highness sent his warmest respects to His Highness the Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, together with his congratulations to His Highness and the people of Kuwait on the 20th anniversary of Liberation and the 50th anniversary of independence.

His Royal Highness also thanked Sheikh Dr Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah for the wonderful welcome and most generous hospitality His Royal Highness received on his recent visit to Kuwait City and looked forward with pleasure to the next occasion both have to work together and share each other's company.

His Royal Highness wished the government and people of the State of Kuwait a very happy celebration and sent his kindest regards to him personally and to Sheikh Feryal Duaij Al-Salman Al-Sabah and his family for good health, happiness and prosperity. - Borneo Bulletin (25th February 2011)
