Princess graces AGC's Aidilfitri Celebration

Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Muta-Wakkilah Hayatul Bolkiah consented to grace the Attorney-General's Chambers' (AGC) Hari Raya Celebration yesterday at the Law Building.

The theme for this year's celebration, 'Old and New', was attended by Datin Paduka Seri Laila Jasa Hajah Hayati binti Pehin Orang Kaya Shahbandar Dato Seri Paduka Hj Mohd Salleh, Attorney-General and Datin Paduka Magdalene Chong, Solicitor General.

Datin Paduka Seri Laila Jasa Hajah Hayati in her welcoming remarks conveyed her Hari Raya greetings to all personnel of the Attorney-General's Chambers.

"We hope that tonight's ceremony can help foster closer ties amongst the personnel at AGC who will also witness various performances and enjoy the feast prepared. This indirectly, creates a sense of family and strengthening the unity together.

"After fulfilling the responsibility of fasting during the month of Ramadhan which can be challenging sometimes, I hope that everyone including myself can reflect on oneself and improve on any weaknesses as well as mistakes," she said.

She further expressed her hopes of seeing the existing and continued teamwork and relations among AGC personnel who will conduct their work obligations as one family.

Stage performances and a prize presentation for various competitions and best dressed awards were also held during the event. - Borneo Bulletin (25th September 2011)
