Royal messages for Bangladesh

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send congratulatory messages to Mohammad Zillur Rahman, President of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, and Sheikh Hasina Wajed, Prime Minister of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, as well as the government and people of Bangladesh on the occasion of their Independence Day.

In the message to Mohammad Zillur Rahman, His Majesty said he much appreciated the close and friendly relations enjoyed by the two countries and looked forward to more opportunities to develop the ties in the coming years.

In the message to Sheikh Hasina Wajed, His Majesty said he was very pleased with the close and friendly ties shared by Brunei Darussalam and Bangladesh and looked forward to continue working closely with her to strengthen their cooperation in regional and international forums.

His Majesty sent his regards and best wishes to Mohammad Zillur Rahman and Sheikh Hasina Wajed for their continued good health and happiness.

His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, also sent a congratulatory message to Dr Dipu Moni, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.

His Royal Highness said he was very pleased to send his warmest congratulations to her, the government and people of Bangladesh on their Independence Day.
