Prince Mohamed attends NAM meeting

His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Tuesday night attended a welcoming reception hosted by Dr RM Marty M Natalegawa, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, in honour of the ministers and heads of delegation at the XVI Ministerial Conference and Commemorative Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement.

His Royal Highness yesterday morning attended the opening session of the XVI Ministerial Conference and Commemorative Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Bali.

The meeting was opened by President Dr Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono of the Republic of Indonesia and chaired by Dr Marty M Natalegawa.

His Royal Highness delivered a statement during the General Debate, highlighting the importance of NAM in addressing the needs of its people. His Royal Highness also expressed confidence that the Movement would continue to make a significant contribution to international affairs.

His Royal Highness held bilateral meetings with Minister of Foreign Affairs K Shanmugam of Singapore; Minister of Foreign Affairs Samuel Zbogar of Slovenia and Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Patti Londono Jaramillo of Cambodia.

His Royal Highness and Her Royal Highness Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Zariah last evening attended a dinner hosted by Dr Marty M Natalegawa to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Movement at the Garuda Wisnu Kencana. - Borneo Bulletin (26th May 2011)
