This year, the activity for Peace Day was a walkathon. The event started off with the recital of surah al-fatihah by Dayang Norazrina binti Hj Sharbini, the treasurer of the association. This was followed by the national anthem, World Day song and Asia-Pacific Region song.

Before proceeding for a leisure walk at the garden of the Brunei Darussalam Girl Guides Association's premises, a warm up session was held.

Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Rashidah and Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna then led the walkathon in the vicinity of the National Stadium passing the Sports School and back to the association's headquarters.
