His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday afternoon consented to receive in separate audiences the outgoing German Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam, Dr Thomas C Bruns, and the outgoing High Commissioner of Canada, Mr Wendell Sanford. The audience ceremonies took place at Istana Nurul Iman. Dr Bruns has been the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany since September 15, 2008, while Mr Sanford has been the High Commissioner of Canada since January 10, 2009.
