Royal congratulatory messages to Vietnam

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send congratulatory messages to Truong Tan Sang, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and Nguyen Tan Dung, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on the occasion of the 66th Anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

In the message to Truong Tan Sang, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, His Majesty much valued the friendship enjoyed between Brunei Darussalam and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and looked forward to working with the president to strengthen these ties in the years to come.

In a similar congratulatory message to Nguyen Tan Dung, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, His Majesty was pleased with the growing friendship and increasing cooperation between Brunei Darussalam and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and His Majesty was confident this partnership would continue both bilaterally as well as through Asean.

In ending the messages to the President and Prime Minister of Vietnam, His Majesty conveyed his best wishes and kindest regards to them.

Meanwhile, in a similar congratulatory message, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, sent his warmest congratulations to his Vietnamese counterpart, Pham Binh Minh, Minister of Foreign Affairs and to the government and people of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

HRH Prince Mohamed looked forward to continuing the work together in strengthening both countries' friendship and the many much-valued areas of bilateral cooperation they share, as well as their partnership in Asean. - Borneo Bulletin (2nd September 2011)
