Royal congratulatory messages to Thailand

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send a congratulatory message to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the King of Thailand, on the auspicious occasion of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej's 84th birthday.

In the message, His Majesty expressed his pleasure that the two countries and peoples continue to enjoy warm and friendly ties and that the governments of both countries have been working closely together in enhancing bilateral relations and in deepening cooperation in Asean and other international forums.

His Majesty also wished His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej and all members of the royal family continued good health and happiness and the people of the Kingdom of Thailand much progress and prosperity.

Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs & Trade, sent a similar congratulatory message to his counterpart, Surapong Tovichakchaikul, Thailand's Minister of Foreign Affairs.

"I have much pleasure in presenting my warmest respects to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej and all members of the royal family, together with my congratulations to you personally and to the government and the people of the Kingdom of Thailand on the 84th anniversary of His Majesty's birthday," HRH said.

"I much appreciate not only the warm friendship between our peoples but also the close and very important cooperation between our governments, which I look forward to strengthening in the coming year ahead." - Borneo Bulletin (5th December 2011)
