Brunei, UAE mull setting up of Joint Commission

His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, yesterday met his UAE counterpart, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates for discussions aimed at strengthening relations between the two countries across a wide range of cooperation.

The meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abu Dhabi.

His Royal Highness and His Highness discussed the setting up of a Joint Commission to develop specific cooperation between Brunei Darussalam and the United Arab Emirates.

His Royal Highness congratulated His Highness on the many exciting developments currently taking place in Abu Dhabi and the ministers considered ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in many areas of common interest such as investment, finance and tourism.

They also discussed current affairs affecting Asean and the Gulf region. - Borneo Bulletin (7th April 2011)
