Royal audience to BIMP EAGA ministers

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday granted audience to Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines East Asean Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA) ministers at the Istana Nurul Iman.

Present during the audience ceremony was His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office. Also present were, Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Dewa Dato Seri Setia Lim Jock Seng, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade II.

The ministers, comprising the Minister of Industry and Primary Resources Brunei, Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Utama Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Yahya bin Begawan Mudim Dato Paduka Hj Bakar, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office Malaysia, Tan Sri Nor Mohamed bin Yakcop, Dato Seri Douglas Uggah Embas, the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Malaysia and the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Johnity Ongkili, the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia, Zulkifli Hasan and the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) Lualhati Antonino.

The ministers are currently in the Sultanate to attend the BIMP-EAGA Ministerial Conference on the Heart of Borneo and Coral Triangle Initiative that would take place at the Ulu-Ulu Resort in Temburong.
