Crown Prince calls on Singapore PM

His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office yesterday called on Lee Hsien Loong, Prime Minister of Singapore at the Istana, Singapore.

During the call, His Royal Highness and the premier discussed bilateral relations and exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual concern.

Also present during the call were His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik and Prince Abdul Qawi.

Following the call on the prime minister, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah attended a lunch hosted by the Prime Minister of Singapore and Ms Ho Ching.

Present during the function were His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik and Prince Abdul Qawi.

Also present were Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman, the Minister of Development; Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Ibrahim, Minister of Finance II at the Prime Minister's Office; Dato Paduka Awang Haji Ali bin Haji Apong, Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister's Office; and other senior officials.

Later in the afternoon, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince visited Singapore Sports School.

His Royal Highness was greeted by Chan Chun Sing, Acting Minister for Community, Youth and Sports and Professor Ho Peng Kee, adviser to Football Association of Singapore. His Royal Highness later went to the Heritage Room where His Royal Highness witnessed the signing ceremony for the admission of DPMM Football Club into the S League.

Signing for DPMM Football Club was Pengiran Haji Mohd Waslimin bin Pengiran Setia Jaya Pengiran Haji Abdul Momin, Club Manager of DPMM FC.

After witnessing the signing ceremony, His Royal Highness took a closer look at the facilities available at the Sports School.

Accompanying His Royal Highness during the visit were His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik and Prince Abdul Qawi.

Throughout the official visit yesterday, His Royal Highness was also accompanied by Masagos Zulkifli, Minister of State, Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as the Minister-in-Attendance. - Borneo Bulletin (11th January 2012)
