Royal condolences to Cambodia King, PM

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send messages of condolence to His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni, King of the Kingdom of Cambodia and to Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, the Prime Minister of Cambodia, following the passing of His Majesty King Norodom Sihanouk yesterday.

In his message to His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni, His Majesty expressed his great sadness upon learning of the passing of His Majesty King Norodom Sihanouk, the father of His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni.

His Majesty stated that the late King Norodom Sihanouk was an outstanding statesman who brought much change and promoted stability and development in Cambodia. The late King Norodom Sihanouk would be sadly missed and long remembered by those who knew him.

His Majesty ended the message to His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni by stating that the royal family joined His Majesty in conveying their deepest condolences to His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni and members of the royal family at this time of grief.

In the message to Hun Sen, His Majesty expressed his deep regret upon learning of the passing of the former King Norodom Sihanouk.

His Majesty stated that the late king was a great leader whose legacy would be remembered, especially his contribution to peace, stability and development in Cambodia.

His Majesty, the Government and people of Brunei Darussalam sent their deepest condolences to him and to the Government and people of Cambodia, especially to the bereaved family of the late King Norodom Sihanouk.
