Crown Prince presents Diplomas

His Royal Highness Prince (Dr) Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Pro-Chancellor of Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) consented to present 148 students with their Diplomas in the afternoon session of the university's 24th Convocation ceremony yesterday.

His Royal Highness was welcomed on arrival at the Chancellor Hall, UBD by the Permanent Secretary (Higher Education) at the Ministry of Education and Vice-Chancellor of UBD, Dato Paduka Dr Hj Zulkarnain bin Hj Hanafi. The afternoon session of the convocation began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah.

The National Anthem, "Allah Peliharakan Sultan" then resounded through the Chancellor Hall, after which His Royal Highness consented to present the 148 graduating students with their Diplomas.

After the diplomas had been presented, a Doa Selamat was recited before the National Anthem rang through the hall once more to conclude the event. Before leaving, His Royal Highness consented to interact and take photos with the graduating students, all of whom were all smiles at the opportunity. - Borneo Bulletin (16 September 2012)
