NDMC celebrates Crown Prince's birthday with thanksgiving ceremony

The National Disaster Management Centre (NDMC) yesterday held a thanksgiving ceremony in conjuction with the 38th birthday of His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, and Chairman of the National Disaster Council. The event took place at the surau of the Fire and Rescue Department at Old Airport Road in Berakas.

The guest of honour was Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Hj Awg Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Hj Awg Othman, Minister of Home Affairs cum Deputy Chairman of National Disaster Council.

Also present were Dato Paduka Awg Hj Abdul Majid bin Mangarshah, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs; Awg Hj Suhaimi bin Hj Gafar, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Development; Awg Hj Ismail bin Hj Abd Manaf, Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs; Awg Roslan bin Hj Taja'ah, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs; Col (Rtd) Pg Dato Paduka Hj Rosli bin Pg Hj Chuchu, Director of NDMC; and Abdul Ghani bin Hj Othman, Acting Assistant Director of NDMC; as well as officers and personnel of NDMC and other government agencies.

The ceremony began with a mass Isyak prayer followed by sunnat hajat prayer, recitation of Ratib Al-Attas and a dikir presentation. The event concluded with a thanksgiving prayer. - Borneo Bulletin (18th February 2012)
