His Majesty leaves Kuwait after attending ACD Summit

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam left Kuwait yesterday morning after attending the first Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) Summit.

Before leaving for the Kuwait International Airport, a doa selamat was read by Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia (Dr) Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti.

Before boarding the Royal Aircraft, His Majesty consented to walk past a static guard mounted by the Amiri Guards, Bayan Palace.

Present at the Kuwait International Airport to bid farewell to His Majesty were Sheikh Ali Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah, Acting Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs of Kuwait; Mr Khalid Mohamed Al-Mughames, Head of Honorary Mission and officers from the Government of Kuwait.

Also present at the Kuwait International Airport was Pengiran Haji Mustapa bin Pengiran Haji Aliuddin, Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to Kuwait.

On Tuesday evening, His Majesty consented to attend the ADC Summit official dinner banquet.

The dinner banquet was hosted by His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait, in honour of leaders attending the Asia Cooperation Dialogue Summit. The dinner was held at the Al-Tahrir Conference Building, Bayan Palace.

Accompanying His Majesty at the dinner banquet were Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Ibrahim, Minister of Finance II at the Prime Minister's Office, and Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Dewa Dato Seri Setia Lim Jock Seng, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade II. - Borneo Bulletin (18 October 2012)
