Deputy Sultan tours RBAF static displays

His Royal Highness Prince General Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Deputy Sultan and General of the RBAF consented to tour the static displays colourfully showcased by the various components of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) and the Ministry of Defence. p> The static displays were held in conjunction with the 51st anniversary of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces yesterday. p> The displays were open to the public today from 9.30am until 3pm at the Royal Brunei Navy Base in Muara. p> During the tour, the Deputy Sultan also witnessed some of the important components of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces as well as the Ministry of Defence. p> The exhibitors range from the Training Institute RBAF and RBAF Crime Scene Investigation Unit (CSI) to the Counselling Unit and others. p> During the tour, the Deputy Sultan also witnessed some demonstrations including one from women personnel performing unarmed combat. p> The Deputy Sultan also witnessed some of the latest arsenal and weaponries, including an in-house built unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) used for reconnaissance purposes. p> During the tour, the Deputy Sultan also took part in target shooting practice, among other activities held at the static displays in conjunction with the 51st RBAF anniversary celebration. - Borneo Bulletin (1 June 2012)
