Royalty at AGC Maulidur Rasul celebration

The Attorney-General's Chambers (AGC) yesterday held a Maulidur Rasul ceremony at the Law and Courts Building in the capital, in commemoration of the birthday anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) marked recently.

Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Muta-Wakkilah Hayatul Bolkiah was among those present at the event, which also saw the attendance of the Attorney-General, Datin Paduka Seri Hjh Hayati binti Pehin Orang Kaya Shahbandar Dato Seri Paduka Hj Mohd Salleh and YAM Pengiran Anak Mohammed Al-Mokhtar bin YAM Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Aziz.

Organised by the AGC's Religious Activities Committee, the event opened with the mass recitation of surah al-Fatihah, which was followed by welcoming remarks delivered by Principal Counsel Hjh Rahayu binti Dato Hj Abdul Razak in her capacity as Chairperson of the committee.

The highlights of the event were a religious talk delivered by Ustaz Muskrisman bin Hj Mustapa from the Islamic Dakwah Centre, and a 'Dikir Marhaban' presentation by officers and staff of the Attorney General's Chambers.

HRH Princess Hajah Muta-Wakkilah Hayatul Bolkiah later consented to present a souvenir and a certificate of appreciation to a retiring officer, Hj Morsidi bin Hj Ahmad. - Borneo Bulletin (21st February 2012)
