His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha yesterday afternoon consented to grant an audience to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore, Lee Hsien Loong and his wife, Mrs Lee Hsien Loong, who are in the Sultanate for a three-day official visit.
The general audience took place at the Cheradi Laila Kenchana, Istana Nurul Iman.
Also present at the general audience were His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and HRH Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah; HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade and HRH Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Zariah; HRH Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah and YAM Pengiran Bini Hajah Faizah; HRH Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah; HRH Prince 'Abdul Malik; HRH Princess Hajah Rashidah Sa'adatul Bolkiah; and HRH Princess Hajah Masna, Ambassador-at-Large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade; as well as other members of the royal family.
The Singapore delegation includes Grace Fu Hai Yien, Minister (Prime Minister's Office), who is also Second Minister for the Environment and Water Resources and Second Minister for Foreign Affairs; Chan Chun Sung, Acting Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports who is also Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Defence; and Jaya Ratnam, High Commissioner of Singapore to Brunei Darussalam and spouse, Mrs Sujatha Ratnam.
After the audience, His Majesty held a four-eye meeting with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong at the Cheradi Ratna Kenchana, Istana Nurul Iman.
