Prince attends opening of NAM Summit

His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, yesterday attended the opening ceremony of the 16th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) at the Summit Convention Centre in Tehran.

Delegates and guests from 120 member states were welcomed on arrival by President of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the incoming Chairman of the Movement, Dr Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Delegates heard an opening address by the Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei and the summit was officially opened by President Mohamed Mursi of the Arab Republic of Egypt, the outgoing Chairman.

His Royal Highness last evening also attended an official dinner hosted by President Ahmadinejad. - Borneo Bulletin (31 August 2012)
