HIS Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send a condolence message to Benigno Simeon C Aquino III, President of the Republic of Philippines, following Typhoon Haiyan that struck the central Philippines recently.

In His Majesty’s message to the Philippines president, the monarch said he was deeply saddened to learn of the loss of life and considerable damage resulting from the typhoon.

His Majesty and the people of Brunei Darussalam extended their deepest condolences to the government and people of the Republic of Philippines, particularly to the bereaved families of the victims of this disaster. - Borneo Bulletin (11 November 2013)
