THE Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (Yayasan) as the Secretariat of the Dana Pengiran Muda Mahkota Al-Muhtadee Billah for Orphans (DANA) held a thanksgiving prayer in conjunction with the 39th birthday of His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office at the Multipurpose Hall of the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Building Complex in the capital last night.

Present at the religious event were Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia (Dr) Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Hj Apong, the Minister of Education in his capacity as the Chairman of the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Board of Directors; Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Laila Diraja Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Hazair bin Hj Abdullah, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports and Dato Paduka Awang Haji Ali bin Hj Apong, Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office.

The event began with the mass Maghrib prayer led by Pehin Khatib Haji Emran bin Haji Kuncang followed by the Surah Yaasiin, Tahlil and thanksgiving prayer. The event concluded with the mass Isyak prayer. - Borneo Bulletin (21 February 2013)
