THE Ministry of Defence (MinDef) and the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) paid their respects in a Tahlil yesterday morning for the late parents of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit. The event was held at the Royal Mausoleum.

The event was attended by the Deputy Minister of Defence Dato Paduka Awang Haji Mustappa bin Haji Sirat, RBAF Commander Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, permanent secretary, RBAF deputy commander, deputy permanent secretaries, service commanders, commandants and directors, officers and staff of Ministry of Defence and RBAF.

The Tahlil was led by Ustaz Haji Ruslan bin Sulaiman, Senior Religious Officer at the Ministry of Defence. Such religious event was held to commemorate the holy month of Ramadhan.

Separate Tahlil events were also held by the Royal Brunei Land Force and Royal Brunei Navy while the Royal Brunei Air Force and RBAF Training Institute will hold their’s on July 23. - Borneo Bulletin (23 July 2013)
