HIS Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam left Sanya City, Hainan Province, the People’s Republic of China after concluding the State Visit to the republic and attending the Boao Forum for Asia at the Boao Forum for Asia International Conference Centre.

Accompanying His Majesty was His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Mateen.

Prior to departure, a doa selamat was recited by Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia (Dr) Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti.

Present at the Sanya Phoenix International Airport to bid farewell to His Majesty were Le Yucheng, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs; Ji Wenglin, Vice Govenor of the Hainan Province; and Zheng Xianglin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China.

Also present were Datin Paduka Magdalene Teo Chee Siong, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brunei Darussalam to the People’s Republic of China; as well as officers from the Embassy of Brunei Darussalam in Beijing. - Borneo Bulletin (8 April 2013)
