His Majesty leaves Cairo

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam on Thursday departed from Cairo, Arab Republic of Egypt, after attending the 12th Session of the Islamic Summit Conference.

Before leaving the Intercont-inental Cairo Citystars Hotel, a Doa Selamat was read by Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia (Dr) Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti.

Present at the Cairo International Airport to bid farewell to His Majesty was Dr Salah Khalil, Minister of Agriculture, Arab Republic of Egypt.

Also present at the airport was Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Mahdi bin Pehin Orang Kaya Digadong Seri Diraja Dato Laila Utama Haji Awang Abdul Rahman, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brunei Darussalam to Cairo, Arab Republic of Egypt.

Accompanying His Majesty were Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Ibrahim, the Minister of Finance II at the Prime Minister’s Office, and Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Dewa Dato Seri Setia Lim Jock Seng, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade II. - Borneo Bulletin (9 February 2013)
