HIS Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send messages of congratulations to His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni, King of the Kingdom of Cambodia and Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, as well as the Government and people of the Kingdom of Cambodia on the occasion of the 60th Independence Day of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
In His Majesty’s message to the Cambodian King, His Majesty said he greatly appreciated the close and friendly relations enjoyed by the two countries and looked forward to continue working closely with the Cambodian King to strengthen these much-valued ties in the coming years for the mutual benefit of the people of Brunei Darussalam and the Kingdom of Cambodia.
In ending his message, His Majesty extended his kindest regards and very best wishes for the Cambodian King’s continued good health and happiness.
In His Majesty’s message to the Cambodian Prime Minister, His Majesty said he very much valued the long-standing and close friendship between the two countries and peoples and looked forward to renewed opportunities to strengthen the excellent bilateral and international ties between Brunei Darussalam and the Kingdom of Cambodia. His Majesty also expressed his great pleasure at working with the Cambodian Prime Minister during Brunei Darussalam’s chairmanship and looked forward to continuing efforts in enhancing this important regional cooperation.
In ending the message to the Cambodian Prime Minister, His Majesty extended his kindest regards and best wishes to him and his family for a very happy celebration.
Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, sent a similar congratulatory message to Hor Namhong, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Kingdom of Cambodia.
“I have much pleasure in sending my deepest respects to His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni, together with my congratulations to you and the Government and people of the Kingdom of Cambodia on the 60th Anniversary of Independence Day,” said HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah.
“I have much appreciated your continuous support during our Asean chairmanship and thank you very much indeed for Cambodia’s valuable contributions to our meetings. I look forward to continuing our work together to strengthen both the friendship and much-valued bilateral cooperation between our countries.”
