HIS Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, yesterday met Albert F del Rosario, Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Philippines at the Balai Penghadapan, Bukit Kayangan and discussed bilateral relations and regional affairs. Del Rosario was in the country on a one-day visit. Philippines’ Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said the two discussed ways to further promote cooperation in areas such as labour, health, ICT and multimedia, defence and law enforcement, and trade and investment. Secretary Del Rosario thanked Brunei’s continued support in the peace process and for its role in the International Monitoring Team monitoring the ceasefire in Mindanao. The 3rd Philippines-Brunei Joint Commission for Bilateral Consultations, which serves as the road map for bilateral cooperation, is set to be held in Manila in 2015.
