Sultan holds bilateral meeting with Indian PM

HIS Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday afternoon consented to hold a bilateral meeting with Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of the Republic of India, at the Myanmar International Conv-ention Centre in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar.

During the meeting, His Majesty and the Indian Prime Minister discussed bilateral issues while exchanging views on regional and international matters of mutual concerns including the cooperation between the two countries.

Accompanying the Indian Prime Minister were Ajit Doval, National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister, and senior officers of the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of External Affairs of the Republic of India.

Also present at the meeting were Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abd Rahman bin Haji Ibrahim, Minister of Finance II at the Prime Minister’s Office; and Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Dewa Dato Seri Setia Lim Jock Seng, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade II. - Borneo Bulletin (13 November 2014)
