HIS Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, arrived in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to attend the 14th Defence Services Asia exhibition and conference to be held from April 14 to 17.

Upon arrival at the Subang Military Air Base, His Majesty was greeted by Dato’ Seri Hishamuddin bin Tun Hussein, Minister of Defence; Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Zulkifeli bin Mohd Zin, Chief of Defence Forces; and senior officials from the Government of Malaysia.

Also present to greet His Majesty was Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Dewa Dato Seri Setia Lim Jock Seng, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade II and Dato Paduka Awang Haji Ishaaq bin Haji Abdullah, the High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to Malaysia.

His Majesty consented to walk through a static guard of honour mounted by the Malaysian Armed Forces before boarding a motorcade to the Shangri-La Hotel where His Majesty will stay throughout the event.

Upon arrival at the hotel, His Majesty was greeted by Mr Manfred Webber, the General Manager of the hotel and staff. - Borneo Bulletin (14 April 2014)
