Royal congratulatory messages to UK on occasion of Queen’s birthday

HIS Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send congratulatory messages to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, David Cameron MP, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, as well as members of the royal family, the government and people of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, on the occasion of the anniversary of the birthday of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

In the message to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, His Majesty said he very much appreciated the continued friendship and valuable cooperation between the governments and peoples of the two countries at all levels and in many different fields.

His Majesty said he looked forward to strengthening these traditional and important ties between Brunei Darussalam and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in the year ahead.

In ending the message, His Majesty extended his kindest regards and very best wishes for Her Majesty’s good health and happiness and for a joyous celebration.

In the message to the British Prime Minister, His Majesty wished him and the people of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland a joyous celebration on this happy occasion.

His Majesty said he looked forward to continuing work with the British Prime Minister to strengthen the much-valued and longstanding ties of friendship and cooperation between the two coun-tries.

Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, sent a similar congratulatory message to his counterpart, William Hague MP, Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, on the occasion of Her Majesty the Queen’s birthday anniversary.

In the message, HRH said: “I would like to send my respects to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II together with my warmest congratulations to you and to the Government and people of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on the occasion of the Queen’s birthday.
