HIS Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday consented to receive in audience Professor Dr Usamah Mohamed bin Mohamed Hassan Elabed, President of Al-Azhar University, Arab Republic of Egypt, who is in the country for a five-day working visit.

Accompanying the President of Al-Azhar University during the audience at Istana Nurul Iman were: Professor Dr Ibrahim Salah Elsayed Soliman Elhodhod, Vice President of Al-Azhar University for Educational and Student Affairs; Professor Dr Tawfik Mohamed Noureldin, Vice President of Al-Azhar University for Post-Graduate Studies and Research; and, Mahmoud Abdelaal Elsayed Shoaib, Secretary General of Al-Azhar University.

Also present at the audience were Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia (Dr) Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Minister of Education; and Pg Dato Seri Setia Dr Hj Mohammad bin Pengiran Haji Abdul Rahman, Minister of Religious Affairs. - Borneo Bulletin (20 February 2014)
