Royal congratulations for Pakistan Day

HIS Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send messages of congratulations to Mamnoon Hussain, President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, as well as the Government and the people of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on the occasion of Pakistan Day.

The message to President Mamnoon Hussain stated that His Majesty much appreciated the long-standing friendship between the two countries and looked forward to continuing the work together to strengthen the valuable ties between Brunei Darussalam and Pakistan in the years ahead.

In ending the message to President Mamnoon Hussain, His Majesty prayed that Allah the Almighty bless the Pakistani President with continued good health and happiness and the people of Pakistan with continued peace, progress and prosperity.

The message to Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif stated that His Majesty greatly valued the warm friendship and long-standing cooperation shared by the two countries and looked forward to opportunities to work with the Pakistani Prime Minister to strengthen these important and valuable ties.

In ending the message to Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, His Majesty prayed that Allah the Almighty bless the Pakistani Prime Minister with continued good health and happiness.

Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, sent a congratulatory message to Sartaj Aziz, Adviser to the Pakistan Prime Minister of National Security and Foreign Affairs, Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

His Royal Highness said, “I am very pleased to send my warmest congratulations to you and to the Government and people of Pakistan on the occasion of Pakistan Day.

“It was a great pleasure meeting you here during our Asean Regional Forum last July and I value the long-standing cooperation shared by our countries and warm friendship enjoyed by our people.

“I also much appreciate the many contributions of Pakistanis working and living in Brunei and take this opportunity to wish them and their families a very happy celebration, with my kindest regards and best wishes.” - Borneo Bulletin (23 March 2014)
