HIS Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam consented to send messages of congratulations to the President of Lao Peopleís Democratic Republic, Choummaly Sayasone and Prime Minister of the Lao PDR, Thongsing Thammavong, as well as the government and people of the Lao PDR on the occasion of the 39th National Day of Lao PDR.
In his messages to the President and Prime Minister of Lao PDR, His Majesty said he much values the close and warm relations shared between the two countries, particularly in strengthening relations both bilaterally and as regional partners in Asean.
His Majesty ended his message to President Choummaly by extending his kindest regards and best wishes for the presidentís continued good health and happiness.
His Majesty said it had been good to see Prime Minister Thongsing in Nay Pyi Taw last month and looked forward to further opportunities to renew friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
In ending the message to Prime Minister Thongsing, His Majesty extended his very best wishes for the prime ministerís personal good health and happiness and for the continued progress and prosperity of the Lao PDR.
Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Brunei Darussalam, sent a congratulatory message to Dr Thongloun Sisoulith, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao Peopleís Democratic Republic on the occasion of the 39th National Day of the Lao PDR.
His Royal Highness appreciated the warm friendship and cooperation between both countries as close neighbours and regional partners and looked forward to continuing their work together in the coming years.
