Prince Mohamed receives outgoing, new envoys

HIS Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade yesterday received a farewell call from Major General (Rtd) Muhammad Ijaz Hussain Awan, the outgoing High Commissioner of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, at the Balai Penghadapan, Bukit Kayangan.

Major General (Rtd) Muhammad Ijaz Hussain Awan has been the High Commissioner of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Brunei Darussalam since June 2012.

His Royal Highness later received three newly-appointed foreign envoys: Dr Ashok Kumar Amrohi of the Republic of India, Nurul Qomar of the Republic of Indonesia and Sheikh Ahmed bin Hashel bin Rashed bin Hashel Al-Maskari of the Sultanate of Oman.

The foreign envoys are based in Brunei Darussalam and presented their credentials to His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam on February 25. - Borneo Bulletin (4 April 2014)
