His Majesty Sultan Qaboos meets Crown Prince

HIS Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, yesterday afternoon attended an audience with His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said of the Sultanate of Oman. The audience took place at Bait Al Barakah, Muscat

His Royal Highness was greeted on arrival at Bait Al Barakah by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said.

During the audience His Majesty Sultan Qaboos and His Royal Highness exchanged views on bilateral relations of both countries as well as regional and international affairs.

Accompanying His Royal Highness was Dr Mohammed bin Hamad al Rumhi, Minister of Oil and Gas as Minister-in-Attendance; Dato Paduka Awang Haji Ali bin Haji Apong, Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office; Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Awang Besar bin Haji Abu Bakar, Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to the Sultanate of Oman.

Earlier, HRH the Crown Prince attended a bilateral meeting with His Highness Sayyid Fahad, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers of the Sultanate of Oman, and in the afternoon attended a Presentation on Planning and Development of the Sultanate of Oman.

The bilateral meeting between His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and His Highness Sayyid Fahad, took place at the Office of His Highness in Muscat.

Upon arrival, His Royal Highness was greeted by His Highness Sayyid Fahad, who then invited His Royal Highness to the meeting room. Attending the meeting were some ministers of the Sultanate of Oman.

During the meeting, His Royal Highness and His Highness Sayyid Fahad exchanged views on efforts to enhance cooperation between Brunei Darussalam and the Sultanate of Oman, as well as matters related to regional and international affairs.

In the afternoon, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince attended a Presentation on the Planning and Development of the Sultanate of Oman delivered by Talal Al Rahbi, Deputy Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Planning, and Mrs Fatma Al Wahibi, Director General of Development Planning. The event took place at the Exclusive Room, Grand Hyatt Hotel in Muscat.

During the presentation, His Royal Highness was briefed on the planning of various aspects of development of the country including priorities in social development as well as training and development of human resources, achievements and various mega projects that have been planned to meet the goals of Vision 2040. - Borneo Bulletin (6 February 2014)
