HIS Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday afternoon consented to receive Letters of Credence from nine non-resident foreign envoys to Brunei Darussalam at the Istana Nurul Iman.
The non-resident foreign envoys are Jairam Ronald Gajraj, High Commissioner of the Republic of Guyana residing in New Delhi, India; Mourad Belhassen, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tunisia residing in Jakarta, Indonesia; Thomas D Kijiner, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Marshall Islands residing in Tokyo, Japan; Dr Alpha Diallo, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Guinea residing in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Michal Slivovic, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Slovak residing in Jakarta, Indonesia; Tarik Bukvic, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bosnia and Herzegovina residing in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Sadegh MO Bensadegh, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Libya residing in Jakarta, Indonesia; Salah Mohi Eldin Abdelmaged Elwassimy, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt residing in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia and Rodrigo Guillermo Riofrio Machuca, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Ecuador residing in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Following the ceremony, His Majesty consented to receive in audience the nine newly-appointed non-resident foreign envoys to Brunei Darussalam.
Also present at the audience ceremony was Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Dewa Dato Seri Setia Lim Jock Seng, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade II.
