HIS Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam consented to visit Pengiran Anak Puteri Hafizah Sururul Bolkiah (PAPHSB) Religious School in Kg Perpindahan Berakas following the official handover ceremony of key plaques to recipients of the National Housing Scheme under both the Meragang and Tanah Jambu areas.
The monarch was greeted upon arrival by school principal, Hajah Jamaliah binti Haji Yassin, who guided His Majesty towards the multi-purpose hall of the school where a Tausyeh was performed by pupils from Years 1 to 5 of the morning session.
His Majesty spent the morning interacting with the school children, touring classes of Insyirah/Story-Telling Programmes, Tausyeh, Jawi studies and Al-Quran studies.
After having an overview of how the school provides for its pupils, the monarch proceeded to the conference room to sign a royal parchment before being presented with a pesambah.
His Majesty then consented to take a group photo with education officers and staff members at the school.
The school accommodates 1,050 students – 270 of whom attend the morning session and 780 in the afternoon.
