The names of winners for the photography competition organised by Persatuan Jurufoto to mark His Majesty's 58th birthday have been announced.

The winning entries will today be displayed at the Jerudong Park Amphitheatre during the get-together ceremony between His Majesty and his subjects in the Brunei-Muara District.

Emerging as winner of 'Category A' was YAM Pg Dato Hj Hasnan with his photo entitled 'Morning Mist,' while Dato Paduka Hj Jalil came in second with his piece 'Siti,' followed by Pehin Dato Seri Paduka Hj Awg Mohd Ali with his snapshot entitled 'Temuai.' 'Category B' saw Pg Mohd Dahlan taking first place, while Hj Muhamad and Md Daud Burut came in second and third place respectively.

Meanwhile 'Category C' saw Md Dahlan Burut emerging as the winner, followed by second and third place winners Ismail Omar and Hj Hasan Bakar respectively.

On hand to select the best snapshots were judges Hj Shamsuddin Idris, Haranadi Buntar, Hj Yacob Dato Paduka Hj Sunny, Hj Hussin Ahmad and Awg James Ling C K.

Category A saw five participants submitting 18 entries in total, while Category B received 28 entries from 21 participants, and for the last category, 25 entries from 17 participants. - Borneo Bulletin
