Three grand firework displays are set to light up the skies of Bandar Seri Begawan as Brunei Darussalam celebrates the joyous occasion of the Royal Wedding of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince Pg Muda Hj Al-Muhtadee Billah to Her Royal Highness Pg Anak Isteri Pg Anak Sarah.

The first fireworks display will take place tonight near Istana Nurul Iman, Jalan Tutong at around 10 pm after the Royal Banquet. Members of the public can witness the display from Damuan Park, Jalan Tutong.

The public will be treated to a variety of colourful fireworks that will feature new designs never seen before in Brunei, according to Ang Swee Chuan, the Chairman of the Fireworks Display Committee, a working committee under the Cultural Performances Committee led by Pehin Dato Paduka Hj Adanan.

Meanwhile, the second 'water' fireworks display is scheduled to take place tomorrow near the Silver Jubilee Park in Pusar Ulak at around 9 pm.

This will be the first time that the people of Brunei will witness fireworks being lit from inside the river, according to Ang Swee Chuan.

The Kiulap link road commencing from the Jame' Asr Hassanil Bolkiah to Pusar Ulak traffic lights will be closed so that people can witness the fireworks display.

Lastly, musical fireworks will take place near the JPCC Amphitheatre, Jerudong after the "Malam Jambangan Kasih Mempelai Diraja" banquet next Friday, September 17.

"All firework displays for the Royal Wedding celebration are made possible thanks to the Fireworks Display Committee with cooperation from Sunlit Advertising Sdn Bhd," Ang Swee Chuan said. - Borneo Bulletin
